  • 2 tbsp cooking oil (coconut oil or mustard oil for authenticity).

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped.

  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced.

  • 1-inch ginger, grated.

  • Two green chilies need to be sliced into strips based on desired heat level while you put them aside.

  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped.

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (or cream for a richer texture).

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder.

  • 1 tsp red chili powder.

  • 1 1/2 tsp ground coriander.

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder.

  • 1/4 tsp garam masala (optional, for depth).

  • Salt, to taste.

  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish).

  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon.

Directions:

Prep the Asian curry shrimp:

Rinse the shrimp and pat dry. Lightly season with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder. Set aside.

Sauté the Aromatics:

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Follow medium cooking heat rules until onion pieces achieve a golden brown state. Add garlic before ginger to the pan followed by green chilies. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Build the Flavor Base:

Speak of hardwood lavished generously at this point in time. Pending your preference of salt and turmeric friendliness soak the shrimp until you can begin the cooking process. Following coriander and cumin you should add red chili powder and turmeric into the cooking mixture. Let this mixture cook in the pan for one to two minutes. During this period the spices should become noticeable by smell.

Add Coconut Milk:

Combine all your ingredients with coconut milk until they become fully incorporated. The mixture needs 5-7 minutes of gentle heat to reach its thickened state. Adjust seasoning with salt.

Cook the Asian curry shrimp:

Add Big Asian  shrimp to the hot curry for preparation. A cooking time of 3-5 minutes with occasional stirring will turn the shrimp pink according to your specifications (overtopping should be avoided).

Finish the Curry:

A final stir is needed after you add garam masala (if used) with lemon juice. Remove from heat.

Garnish & Serve:

A hot delivery becomes ready by sprinkling fresh cilantro pieces on top. Serve hot Asian curry shrimp with steamed rice.
